About
Amy Lopez Nayve is a paper engineer, designer, and educator based in the Philippines. She founded Pumapapel Pop-Up Design Studio in 2018, and has spent seven years doing the kind of work that didn’t really exist in her home country yet: custom pop-up design for brands, cultural institutions, and publishers, alongside workshops that have taken her everywhere from Bvlgari product launches to government outreach programs in remote Philippine communities.
She has 180+ projects under her belt, 6 published titles with Nextquisite UK, and a growing community of artists called The Fold. She has taught, collaborated, experimented relentlessly, and learned a lot. Now, she’s focused on passing that forward through education, accessible learning materials, and work that pushes what paper engineering can actually do.
She is published, internationally recognized, and always open to what’s next, whether that’s a publishing collaboration, a brand partnership, a speaking engagement, or mentoring a creative who wants to learn from someone who’s gone there and back again.
