In January 2018, I had the incredible opportunity to lead a two-day workshop at Beacon Academy, an International Baccalaureate school in Biñan, Laguna. Their annual Alternative Class Day places strong emphasis on creativity and hands-on learning, so I was genuinely excited to introduce the students and teachers to the fascinating world of paper engineering!
Over the course of two days, we explored the art of making pop-ups. The first day was all about introducing the fundamentals of paper engineering. The magic truly happened on the second day. Students split into groups to create collaborative pieces. Some teams created large-scale cards while others decided to make books.

If you’re looking to infuse creative projects into your school’s curriculum, consider our paper engineering workshop. It’s such an engaging way to foster creativity and collaborative spirit for participants of all ages!
