Packaging often serves a practical purpose, but what if it could be something more—a canvas for storytelling, emotion, and art? This question inspired my project for a packaging class, where I chose to reimagine tea packaging in a way that would celebrate both the product and the artistry behind it.
I didn’t want to design a simple container—I wanted to create a tea party centerpiece. So, I took inspiration from famous impressionist paintings and created a pop-up carousel book. Each page is like a stage set where layers of artwork come together to create a mesmerizing 3D effect. And just for fun, I made up some fancy names for tea flavors that capture the essence of these iconic paintings.
Without the aid of die-cutting machines, I meticulously cut, folded, and assembled each piece by hand, ensuring that every detail was in place. This project was more than just an academic exercise; it was a personal exploration of how creativity can transform everyday objects into something extraordinary.
