Who we work with
The right fit matters for both of us.
Publishers producing interactive or pop-up books
Brands creating premium experiential materials
Cultural institutions building exhibition collateral
Creative teams with a brief, a budget, and time to do it right

INVESTMENT
Custom paper engineering, built around your idea.
Custom Paper Engineering Design fee from US $1,000 per pop-up spread.
Includes a discovery call, original engineering design, 2 rounds of revisions, white and/or color mock-up, and production-ready files.
Illustration or Graphic Design: Not included in the design fee. We can work with your artist, or connect you with someone from our network, scoped and billed separately.
Production: We deliver design files up to a full-color prototype only. Mass production is handled through our network of recommended printers. We’ll connect you after your design is finalized.
TIMELINE & AVAILABILITY
Great design is worth the time.
Dimensional marketing projects typically run 4 to 12 weeks. Pop-up books and complex projects may run 3 to 6 months.
We don’t take rush jobs, not because we can’t move fast, but because good paper engineering takes time to get right.
If you’re planning ahead, you’re already our kind of client.
We’re currently fully booked through June 2026.
Submitting a brief now means your project will be considered when our calendar opens.

HOW IT WORKS
From first message to finished design.
1. SUBMIT YOUR PROJECT BRIEF
Tell us about your project: the vision, the timeline, what you’re trying to achieve. We read every submission carefully, so the more you share, the better we can prepare. We don’t accept project inquiries by email; the brief is the starting point.
2. DISCOVERY CALL
If your project looks like a good fit, we’ll reach out within 3–5 business days to schedule a one-hour Discovery Call. This is where we dive into your goals, timeline, and scope together. You get to ask us everything, and we will answer your questions.
3. YOUR PROPOSAL
After the call, we’ll put together a tailored proposal: scope, deliverables, timeline, and pricing. From there, if everything feels right, we get to work together.
Have a project in mind?
Fill out the project brief and tell us what you’re building.
We’ll take it from there.
Not ready yet? Browse our portfolio or get in touch if you have a quick question.
frequently asked questions
What if I don’t have a complete brief yet?
That’s fine. The brief doesn’t need to be perfect, just honest. Share what you know: what you’re trying to make, roughly when you need it, and what you’re hoping it will do for your audience. We’ll help you develop the details from there during the Discovery Call.
Can you work with my illustrator?
Yes, and we do this often. If your project has an illustrator already attached, we’ll coordinate directly with them on dimensions, layers, and how the illustration needs to be prepared for the engineering. If you need an illustrator, we can connect you with artists from our network. Either way, illustration is a separate scope from the paper engineering — we’ll make sure the proposal reflects that clearly.
What’s the difference between a mock-up and a prototype?
A mock-up is a handmade sample (usually white or in color) that shows the structure and movement of the design. It’s what we use during the revision process and what you’ll receive as part of your deliverables.
A prototype is a more polished, production-accurate sample made closer to the final materials. This is an optional add-on for projects heading into mass production.
What about printing and mass production?
Our scope covers final design files up to a full-color prototype. We don’t manage mass production in-house, but we’ll connect you with trusted print partners who have experience producing pop-up work. Their timeline and pricing is separate from ours, and we’ll help you ask the right questions when that conversation happens.
Do you take rush projects?
Very rarely, and only if the scope is genuinely simple. For most projects, a rushed timeline means compromised engineering, and we’d rather tell you that upfront than deliver work we’re not proud of. If your timeline is tight, share it in the brief and we’ll be honest about whether it’s workable.
